Angela Murphy - Property Manager & Team Lead   Angela Murphy was born and raised in Rome, Italy. After attending John Cabot University, she started her career in the Housing Office at the U.S. Embassy in Rome. As a State Department EFM, Angela has worked as a Community Liaison Officer in Bern, Switzerland, and Bogota, Colombia, and as a Housing Coordinator in her most recent post of San Salvador, El Salvador. As a Housing Coordinator, Angela provided assistance with all housing-related needs to the Embassy community and coordinated the renovations of more than 50 Embassy leased properties. Angela is currently residing in Vienna, VA, with her foreign service husband and 2 young daughters. She enjoys cooking, playing tennis and is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French.

Jenny Kocher - Property Manager   Jenny Kocher was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She graduated from the Universidad Externado de Colombia with a degree in Hotel and Tourism Management. After graduating from the university, she worked in customer service for the Radisson and Hilton Hotels in Bogota. Jenny has since lived in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Lima with her Foreign Service husband and two children. With the State Department, she worked in various Consular EFM roles and especially enjoyed her time assisting American citizens abroad. Volunteering is also very important to Jenny, and she has served on the board of various NGOs. Foreign service life has taught her to be flexible and expect the unexpected. Jenny currently resides in Fairfax, VA with her family and enjoys traveling, new cultures, and teaching Zumba. She speaks English, Spanish, and Chinese.

Layla Parrotte - Property Manager   Originally from Muscat, Oman, Layla graduated from Standen University in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, with an M.A. in Leisure and Tourism Studies. Following her graduation, she worked in a number of middle management positions within the hospitality industry, mainly for the InterContinental and Hyatt hotel chains. Layla first joined the Department of State in 2003 as a Protocol Assistant and has since served in various direct-hire positions domestically and as an AEFM overseas. Some of her positions include Travel Specialist, Staff Assistant, and VIP Visits Coordinator. Layla also worked with the Foreign Commercial Services as a Commercial Specialist where she was responsible for providing different business services to FCS office clients. She also contributed in organizing official FCS and embassy events. Layla has lived with her Foreign Service husband and son in New Jersey, Ouagadougou, Dubai, Doha, and currently in Vienna, VA. Layla speaks Arabic, English, Swahili, and basic French. Layla enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, planning events, entertaining friends, baking, and dancing.

Together with her husband, she has moved 14 times, seven of which took her abroad, incluiding four stops in Germany, as well as The Republic of Georgia, Moldova and Slovakia. She later served as the Pol/Econ Office Manager at U.S. Embassy Chisinau and as the Community Liaison Officer at U.S. Embassy Bratislava. She is very familiar with the stresses and excitement of moving stateside and overseas and all that it includes from finding a new home, managing a household, and adapting to a new environment. Lynn currently lives in Bristow, Virginia with her youngest son and husband. They also have two older children attending college. She loves traveling, cooking and spending time with family.
